Ashley Green Parish Council serves the villages of Ashley Green and Whelpley Hill, and lies partly in Green Belt and the Chiltern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty within Buckinghamshire. It was established as an ecclesiastical parish in 1875 and as a civil parish in 1897.
